Engineered Warmth

Built to seal tight and stay warm

A projecting window has more glass and more corners than a flat unit, so sealing matters even more. We build every bay and bow with insulated head and seat boards, Low-E glazing and welded frames, made for real Ontario winters.

Insulated Head and Seat

The top and bottom of the projection are insulated and sealed to stop heat escaping through the extension.

Low-E glass and argon fill

Thin coatings bounce heat back inside, and argon between the panes slows heat loss and cuts condensation.

Weathertight Corners

Every joint in the assembly is sealed and flashed to keep drafts, rain and snow out of the projection.

Fusion-welded frames

Reinforced, welded corners hold each unit in the assembly square through years of heating and cooling.

Key Features

Bay & bow windows engineered to perform

Every bay and bow window we install combines a striking projection with the security, energy efficiency and clean finish of our standard windows.

Bay Windows

Bay: Three-Unit Angle

A bay window uses three units, a wide centre flanked by two angled side windows, for a bold, faceted projection.

Bow: Gentle Curve

A bow window uses four or more equal units in a soft, sweeping curve for a rounded, elegant look.

Extra Interior Space

The projection creates a ledge inside, perfect for a window seat, a reading nook or a display shelf.

Operating or Fixed Units

Mix fixed picture units with casement or awning sides so you get both the view and the ventilation.

Multi-Point Locking

Operating units in the assembly secure at several points for added strength and peace of mind.

ENERGY STAR® Qualified

Designed to meet ENERGY STAR® qualifications for lower bills, year round.

Double or Triple Glazing

Available in double or triple glazing for insulation, comfort and quiet.

Custom Roof and Trim

Finished with a matching head board, seat board and exterior roof or apron to suit your home.
Colour & Finish Options

Finished to match your home

A curated palette of durable, fade-resistant colours to suit any style, from classic white to bold modern black. Interior and exterior finishes can be matched independently.

Is It Time?

Six signs your windows are costing you money

Old, tired windows quietly pull heat and comfort out of your home. If any of these sound familiar, it is worth a conversation.

Drafts and cold spots

You feel air moving or notice cold patches near the window on winter days.

Condensation between the panes

Fog or moisture trapped inside the glass means the sealed unit has failed.

Rising energy bills

Your heating and cooling costs keep creeping up as air leaks around the sash.

Hard to open or close

The crank grinds, the sash sticks, or the window no longer latches and seals.

Rot, warping or damage

Soft frames, peeling paint or warped sashes on older wood or vinyl units.

Outside noise

Traffic and neighbourhood sound carry straight through thin, single-pane glass.

Two profiles one standard of quality

Our bay and bow windows are available in two vinyl frame series, so we can match the right profile to your project, whether it’s a new build or a replacement.

We recently moved into a new home and quickly noticed some issues with drafts from the windows and concerns with the front door security. Reached out to Entry Edge and Mike and Rob were great from the start. They helped us get everything sorted quickly and had our new door and windows installed within a really solid timeline. The whole process felt smooth and well handled. Really happy with how everything turned out and would definitely recommend them.

We had our old double front door replaced by Entry Edge and the difference is night and day. The old doors had draft issues and never felt very secure. Mike and Rob helped us design a solid fiberglass door that looks great and feels much safer. Super happy with how everything turned out and the overall experience.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about bay and bow windows, energy efficiency, installation and warranty.
What is the difference between a bay and a bow window?

A bay window is made of three units, a large flat centre with two angled sides, giving a bold, faceted projection. A bow window uses four or more equal units in a gentle curve for a softer, rounded look. Both project outward and add light and space.

Yes. Because they extend beyond the wall, they create a ledge inside that many homeowners use for a window seat, a reading nook, plants or a display shelf. It is one of the main reasons people choose them.

Usually the centre is a fixed picture unit for the view, while the side units can be operating casements or awnings for ventilation. You can also build the whole assembly fixed if you only want the light and the projection.

They can be. Because they have more glass and more corners, proper installation matters, which is why we insulate the head and seat boards, flash every joint and glaze with Low-E, argon-filled units built for the Canadian climate.

Bay and bow windows take longer than a standard replacement because the projection, roof and interior trim all need finishing. We confirm a clear timeline with you before the project begins.

Yes. Our bay and bow windows carry manufacturer warranty coverage and our workmanship is backed by Entry Edge. You get the full written details in your quote so you know exactly what is covered.
