Security First

Security built in, not added on

A door is only as secure as its weakest point. That is why we do not treat security as an upgrade or an afterthought. From the locking system and the frame to the hinges, the strike plates and the glass, every Entry Edge entry door is engineered as a complete system to resist forced entry and give you real peace of mind, without sacrificing the design you want.
Core Features

Engineered to protect your home

Six ways an Entry Edge door keeps your family and your belongings safer, standard on our security-focused entry systems.

Multi-Point Locking

A single throw of the handle bolts the door at several points along the frame, top, middle and bottom, so it cannot be pried open at one weak spot.

Reinforced Frames

Heavy-gauge, reinforced frames and jambs resist kicking and prying, giving the locking system something solid to anchor into.

High-Security Hardware

Premium deadbolts, strike plates and handlesets rated for durability and forced-entry resistance, not the builder-grade parts found on stock doors.

Impact-Resistant Glass

Optional laminated and tempered glass units resist breakage and hold together on impact, closing off a common point of entry.

Security Hinges

Concealed or tamper-resistant hinges with non-removable pins, so the door cannot be lifted off from the outside.

Solid Core Construction

Insulated steel and fiberglass doors with a solid, rigid core that resists impact far better than a hollow builder door.

Layers of Security

A door is a system not a slab

Real security comes from every part working together. Here is how the pieces of an Entry Edge entry door protect your home, from the outside in.

The Slab

A solid, insulated steel or fiberglass door that resists impact and holds its shape.

The Locking System

Multi-point bolts that engage the frame at several points with one turn of the handle.

The Frame & Strike

Reinforced jambs and heavy strike plates that anchor the locks into solid material.

The Hinges

Tamper-resistant hinges with non-removable pins so the door cannot be lifted out.

The Glass

Optional impact-resistant glazing that resists breakage at a common weak point.

Locking & Hardware

The parts that do the work

Two of the most important upgrades on any secure entry door, and what they mean for your home.

Multi-Point Locking

Instead of a single deadbolt, a multi-point system throws several bolts into the frame at once, spreading the force across the whole door.

  • Locks at the top, middle and bottom
  • One handle motion engages every point
  • Pulls the door tight for a better seal, too

Reinforced Frame & Strike

A strong lock needs a strong frame. We reinforce the jamb and fit heavy strike plates so the locking points anchor into solid material, not thin trim.

  • Heavy-gauge reinforced jambs
  • Extended strike plates with long screws
  • Resists kicking and prying at the latch
Locking points on a multi-point secured door, versus one on a standard deadbolt.

We recently moved into a new home and quickly noticed some issues with drafts from the windows and concerns with the front door security. Reached out to Entry Edge and Mike and Rob were great from the start. They helped us get everything sorted quickly and had our new door and windows installed within a really solid timeline. The whole process felt smooth and well handled. Really happy with how everything turned out and would definitely recommend them.

We had our old double front door replaced by Entry Edge and the difference is night and day. The old doors had draft issues and never felt very secure. Mike and Rob helped us design a solid fiberglass door that looks great and feels much safer. Super happy with how everything turned out and the overall experience.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about home security, locking, glass and installation.
How do multi-point locks improve security?
A multi-point lock engages the frame at several points with one turn of the handle, usually the top, centre and bottom. That spreads out any force and removes the single weak point a standard deadbolt creates, making the door far harder to pry or kick open.
For ground-floor doors, sidelites and accessible windows, yes. Laminated glass holds together when struck instead of shattering, so an intruder cannot simply break the glass and reach through. It also improves sound insulation as a bonus.
In most cases, yes. Multi-point locking, reinforced frames and laminated glass can be built into our entry doors, patio doors and windows. During the consultation we recommend the right combination for each opening based on how exposed it is.
Core security features like multi-point locking and reinforced frames are standard on our entry systems. Upgrades such as laminated glass or specific high-security hardware are options we price clearly in your quote so there are no surprises.
Not at all. Security is engineered into the frame, lock and glass, so it stays out of sight. You get the same clean, custom look you chose, with the protection built in behind it.
Yes. Our doors, windows and their hardware carry manufacturer warranty coverage, and our workmanship is backed by Entry Edge. You get the full written details in your quote so you know exactly what is covered.
